Important Notes

To determine the processed response output size from each compression level (low, normal, high) the page has to be re-compressed 3 times and the page being tested also has to be loaded from the original URL so this may result in a slight delay when running the tests, especially for larger pages.

Only the initial HTML page requested is currently analysed. Most pages also contain references to other resources such as javascript and CSS files which would also benefit from compression. We are working on a more comprehensive analysis program to illustrate the complete savings based on the full page 'weight' - be sure to check back soon!

HTTP Suppression

This test only shows the savings possible from using HTTP Compression. Whenever HTTP Suppression can be used the savings will always be 100% of the page size but this is only possible if the browser already has the requested page in it's local cache so cannot be shown in this demonstration.
